Rhumba kwasa-kwasa songstress Khumo Pinaenang, popularly known as Sister Khumo, has released her fourth album KENALESENGWE together with her backing artistes Star Band. Sister Khumo working with well-known record label company – Octave Records, who have been busy in the studio putting together the masterpiece produced by Kunda Bwanga. The six-track album titled Kenalesengwe is a composition of both laid back and hyper tracks. Sister Khumo noted that she wanted to improve her music. “It is high time, I take my music to another level.

The market does not have a lot of rhumba kwasa-kwasa female artiste and I see a niche to be exploited there,” she said. The album’s lead track – Botswana celebrates and praises the country’s former presidents for their visionary leadership. Sister Khumo is confident the new album will enjoy considerable airplay, likely to surpass her previous album – ‘Zebras’ dedicated to the country’s senior national football squad. Sister Khumo’s music career took off in 2004 as a gospel singer. She then joined the popular Unity Band in 2005 and shared stage with popular artiste among them Vee Mampeezy, Franco & Afro Musica, Wizards of the Desert and the late Biza Mupulu. She has three albums under her belt: A rabine Batswana, Oboile and Zebras.
