Black Forest headcoach Reetsang Letlole said there is still a lot to play for in the first round of the 2017/18 BTC premiership first round. Following a loss to Extension Gunners in Lobatse this past weekend, Letlole said the Mankgodi outfit were poised to surpass their impressive season debut when they became the league rookie sensation last season. Magoleng were out witted and out hustled by Gunners in an uninspiring encounter in Lobatse this past Saturday.

“You will remember that last season we finished the first round with 19 points. This time around we intend to conclude the first round with more that 20 points,” Letlole said. The coach said he lost at least three key players to injuries and this made Magoleleng vulnerable especially in the defence. During the last transfer window Forest lost a number of key players to bigger teams including the free scoring Zimbabwean Lynoth Chikuwa and Thatayaone Kgamanyane. The vacuum left by the two influential players seemed obvious when Forest suffered a loss to their Lobatse rivals. Moreover, Letlole said Magoleng remain a force to reckon with in the league. Our ultimate goal is to finish in the Top 8 bracket.
